Introduction

The requirements announced by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education and the potentiality in research areas led to establishment of the Road Traffic Injury Research Center in Tabriz, Iran. The center has officially begun its activities in Tabriz University of Medical Sciences since 2012.

The center, pursuing its previous activities, has placed plentiful plans on its agendum, namely, carrying out educational and research activities, drawing the participation of medical sciences universities and traffic-related organizations nationally, over the short period after its formation.

Vision

The center intends to assume an effective role in provision, maintenance, and promotion of the community health level, by carrying out practical research on promoting the knowledge of road traffic injury at provincial, national, regional and international levels. It aims to act as a specialized and scientific core in traffic knowledge development and traffic injury prevention across the country.
