Introduction to the field
Ph.D. Department of Epidemiology is a branch of medical science that studies the distribution and
determinants of health-related conditions or outcomes in specific populations and the application of
this study to combat health problems.

epidemiology, in addition to developing the scientific and theoretical aspects of the field, to train it

combined with other fields, and because of its practical nature, there is a cross-curriculum between
the specialists of this field and other fields for cooperation. Justice, legal and systemic thinking to
create documentation and taking advantage of them and make a decision based on the evidence of
its outstanding features.
The Professional Tasks of the Graduates of Epidemiology
A: Educational:
1. Graduates of this field will be able to localize the knowledge of the day and provide learners with
educational resources (books or articles and educational pamphlets) and add themselves to the
content of imported resources.
2. Certainly, the role of a teacher is also expected by graduates of this field and In the form of
curriculum units or short and long-term courses, they will be able to play a role in educating human
resources, including students, researchers and college faculty members.
B: Research:
1- These people can be key members of the country's research systems at the level of the Ministry,
as well as universities and research centers as research management consultants and consultants for
research projects.
2. These individuals will be able to act as research scholars in the field of research and manage small-
scale and in-house research projects within the universities, national plans, and inter-sectoral
projects.
C: Management-Consulting:
1- Due to the knowledge and skills of graduates of this field and comprehensive epidemiological
thinking, they will be able to act as capable managers in the management of health system,
management of educational system and research management of the country.

2- The counseling role of these people is very important and they will be able to support the health
system of the country at different levels as powerful forces. This role can also be in the form of
formal health system plans for managing diseases and health problems, and can also be used to
provide documentation and transform research findings into executive strategies.

It should be noted that the stated tasks are not only at the national level but also at the
transnational level and graduates can also be responsible for the duties mentioned above in
international systems.
