The meeting of the steering committee on the project “safe and health Promoting community, Sahand” was held for the first time in the office of local government in East Azerbaijan in September 7, 2016 (1395/06/16).

The chancellor of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, the head of traffic police in East Azerbaijan, the provincial health deputy, the head of the emergency 115, the head of international safe community support center, the governor of the ‎city Osku, the mayor of the city Sahand, the head of comprehensive network of public health were in attendance at the meeting chaired by the head of deputy for construction and development affairs in East Azerbaijan.

The progress of the project was reviewed, and its compiled operational plan was deliberated and approved through the meeting.

In this meeting, Dr. Mohammad Hossein Somi, the chancellor of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences and councilor of international safe community support center was appointed by the governor of East Azerbaijan as secretary of the steering committee. Moreover, Dr. Homayoun Sadeghi-Bazargani, the head of international safe community support center, and Dr. Jafar Sadegh Tabrizi, a member of international safe community support center were appointed as members of the steering committee for the project of health promoting and safe community in cities of the province East Azerbaijan.
