National Center for Health Information & Traffic Safety








 

Iranian national research center of road traffic injuries, aimed to establish the first and comprehensive national database of injuries and safety with a focus on road traffic injuries and traffic safety. For this aim, we defined a "National Center for Health Information & Traffic Safety" which includes the below items:
Statistical reporting system of health & traffic
This reporting system feeds with health and traffic data of relevant organizations and provides statistical reports of them for certain periods of time. This system is under instructor and will be ready to use by end of 2018.

 National Database of Injury & Safety (SAFELIR)
All published papers and unpublished works such as thesis on injury and safety fields are gathered in a national database named SAFELIR (Safety Literature of Iran) for a quick and proper access of researchers, students and others to Iranian works on injury and safety. This database is now accessible to use.

Client Voice
Iranian clients on injuries and safety will have a room to rise their voice and express their comments, complaints, suggestions and … on Client Voice System. As the result, the attention of policy makers, researchers and all other related organizations will be drawn to neglected or hidden aspects of safety among the country. This system will be ready to use by end of 2018.

     The above these systems will be linked and share the data among each other. Also client voice will have a certain space whiten the SAFELIR.

National Registry System of Road Traffic Injuries
In Iran, various organizations and institutions are involved in traffic crashes and injuries, such as police, Forensic medicine organization, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, National Terminal Board, and etc. But the provided data have some issues like being parallel among the organizations, not being enough accurate and comprehensive, and being missed or not collected. 
We designed a National Registry System for Road Traffic Injuries which links all relevant organizations among a defined process and a chain of certain data.

National Registry of Trauma & Spinal Cord Injuries
This national registry system collects certain data on trauma and spinal cord injuries. Data of East-Azarbayjan province is being provided by our center.

Traffic Information (Road & Vehicle)
Several external organizations such as police, Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, vehicle companies and … will provide traffic information with a focus on roads and vehicles, and then these data will be analyzed and reported.

National Library of Safety & Accidents
The first national library of published works on safety and accidents will be a physical place for accessing to relevant researchers, students and etc.
